Country Style คงต้องนึกถึงบ้านแถบชนบทในหนังฝรั่ง เรามักจะเห็นบ้านสไตล์คันทรีอยู่บ่อยครั้ง ซึ่งลักษณะรูปแบบที่มีเอกลักษณ์ บ่งบอกความเป็นสไตล์อย่างเด่นชัด และมักจะถูกนำมาตกแต่งตามที่พักตากอากาศ ชนบท หรือรีสอร์ทในอดีต Country Style เป็นรูปแบบที่ถูกตัดทอนรายละเอียด ลงจาก Classic Style มีลักษณะที่แตกต่างกันอย่างการย้อมไม้ ให้มีลักษณะโชว์ลายเสี้ยน และมีผิวที่หยาบ หรือ Rustic กว่ามักจะเห็นม่านผ้าครึ่งหน้าต่าง ผ้าปูโต๊ะต่อลาย (Quilt) หรือภายในครัว ก็จะโชว์หรือแขวนตระกร้าสาน

มีลักษณะรูปแบบการตกแต่งอีกแบบที่คล้ายกับ Country แต่จะใหญ่กว่าและมีการประดับตกแต่งที่รกกว่าคือ Fram House หรือบางทีเรียกว่า Rustic

การตกแต่งแบบ Country Style สิ่งแรกที่ต้องคำนึงถึงคือ เราจะแต่งที่ไหน สำหรับการดำเนินชีวิตประจำวัน หรือเพื่อตกแต่งในบ้านพักผ่อน เพราะต้องปรับให้เข้ากับการใช้ชีวิตจริงๆ ที่กล่าวถึงเรื่องของสถานที่ก่อน เพราะวัสดุบางชนิด ในการตกแต่งอาจจะไม่เหมาะสมกับบางสถานที่ ยากในการดูแลและใช้งาน เช่น การใช้วัสดุไม้จริง หรือหินธรรมชาติ ที่มีพื้นผิวขรุขระ ซึ่งต้องคำนึงถึงเรื่องของความชื้น น้ำหนัก และฝุ่น บรรยากาศโดยรวม คือความเป็นธรรมชาติ ที่สัมผัสได้ และความเรียบง่าย ของเครื่องเรือน ที่ดูสมถะ ไม่เนี้ยบมาก ทำสีด้าน (เคลือบด้าน) โทนสีหลัก คือ แนวเอิร์ธโทน (แนวสีธรรมชาติของเนื้อวัสดุ) และผ้าที่ทอจากเส้นใยธรรมชาติ
