Minimal ให้คำจำกัดความอีกอย่างว่า น้อยแต่มากน้อยในที่นี้คือไม่ยัดเยียด ตามความจำเป็นและประโยชน์ตามความเหมาะสม มากคือมากด้วยความรู้สึกและตอบสนองประโยชน์วิถีแห่งความสุขได้อย่างสมบูรณ์
ซึ่งงานแบบ Minimal จะมีลักษณะเรียบง่าย มีโทนสี แบบโมโนโทน มีเส้นสายตรงไปตรงมา เน้นลักษณะเด่นของวัสดุแต่ละแบบที่นำมาตกแต่งภายใต้ความเรียบง่ายและสมดุลกันระหว่างสถานที่กับผู้อยู่อาศัย

We can define the term minimalism as Less is More type of work. Less as the way of this style is to strip down to its most fundamental features, More as those necessary components are arranged to create an impression of extreme simplicity. Every element and detail is to serve multiple visual and functional purposes.
Minimalism can be expressed by using simply basic forms in monotone colours with neat and straight lines organized in very particular manners. May emphasize the most outstanding feature of every single component and keep a balance between the residents and the places.
Minimalist designs may look similarly to the design of Modernism but there are some differences in details hidden in the elements which may take time to recognize. The decoration in this style will give comfortable and relaxed feeling. It also shows the taste and stylishness of the owners.
