Oriental ซึ่งหมายถึง เรื่องราวที่เกี่ยวกับชาวตะวันออก เป็นประเทศในเขตที่มีความลงตัว สอดคล้องกับหลายๆอย่างเข้าด้วยกัน ด้วยสภาพภูมิอากาศ วิถีชีวิตความเป็นอยู่ อีกทั้ง คติความเชื่อในเรื่องราวของศาสนา และวัฒนธรรมที่หล่อหลอมและซึมซับ อยู่ในตัวจนแยกไม่ออก ดังจะเห็นได้ว่า ความเป็น Oriental ได้สื่อออกมาให้เห็นเป็นรูปธรรม และสัมผัสได้ จะเห็นได้จากรูปแบบของสถาปัตยกรรมของภูมิภาคแถบเอเชีย จะมีความสอดคล้องกับผู้อยู่ รูปแบบของเครื่องเรือนที่สื่อออกมาตอบสนองการใช้แล้ว ยังแสดงถึงวัฒนธรรมของชาติ โดยผ่านลวดลายที่ปรากฎลงบนเฟอร์นิเจอร์ คติทางด้านการจัดวางตามศาสตร์ความเชื่อ ทุกอย่างผ่านการไตร่ตรอง ปัจจุบัน แม้จะมีการรับเอารูปแบบอาคารทางตะวันตกเข้ามา แต่ความเป็น Oriental ก็สามารถที่จะปรับให้เข้ากับยุคสมัย โดยยังยึดหลักและแนวทาง ปรัชญาด้านความเชื่อ ทำให้เกิดรูปแบบที่เหมาะสมและลงตัวในชีวิต นั่นคือ วิถีของชาวตะวันออกอย่างแท้จริง

แนวทางการตกแต่งแบบ Oriental สามารถสร้างบรรยากาศได้หลากหลาย การเลือกใช้เฟอร์นิเจอร์และของประดับตกแต่ง ควรเลือกเฟอร์นิเจอร์สไตล์จีน สีทึบ และไม่มีลวดลายมาก เลือการบุเฟอร์นิเจอร์ด้วยไผ่ไหมสีเรียบ  โดยอาจมีเฟอร์นิเจอร์ที่ทำจากไผ่ หรือหวายในรูปทรงแบบคลาสสิก และเสริมด้วยของประดับตกแต่ง ที่ผสมความเป็นจีนที่ฐานเซรามิก และโปะผ้าไหม ก็จะช่วยเสริมความเป็น Oriental ได้อย่างมาก

Oriental is all about the East where a sense of harmony has been developing the region for millennia. It is fascinated to see that climate. Ways of life, attitudes, religious belief and culture has become part of the other and life, impartibly. Orientalism can be visually expressed by the style of local architecture which is appropriate for the residents. The oriental furniture not only performs useful function to satisfy all needs but also presents national culture by its own patterns and details. Feng shui is one of the obvious examples of the effective functions of Oriental style. Even though, there are some western influences on building design. The style can be modified to make it more suitable for the purposes of living, still with the traditional principles and the philosophies of life. This is the ideal Oriental.

Oriental decoration style can create various pleasant atmospheres by selecting different pieces of furniture and props. I would recommend Chinese style furniture in deep tones and plain patterns covered by silk fabric in soft colours. May find bamboo-made or rattan-made furniture in the classic from and Chinese-looking props such as silk shades with ceramic-based lamps to make the decoration looks more prominent.
